Description

Bronwyn reflects a blend of the contempary and the traditional with more than a hint of Manx culture in its' carefully curated decor. Panoramic views from the spacious lounge across to the Lake District in England, and a combined kitchen/diner with similar aspect and an adjacent large balcony with seating areas for relaxing and dining. Bronwyn also has our family recreation area opening directly to the rear garden facing Cumbria. Fred's Bar at the Pig & Guinea provides visitors with an alternative motorbike themed option for unwinding, and for a voluntary donation to guinea pig rescue, your hosts will be more than happy to welcome you to Maughold's best kept secret. High speed free WiFi is available in all areas, and use of main lounge, TV, washing machine, tumble dryer, guest fridge and gardens. Cooked and/or continental breakfasts included in price, plus additional meals at a small cost. Tea & coffee available 24/7. All quality bedding and towels provided, and emergency toiletries available for any forgotten essential items. Plenty of room for cars and/or motorbikes, but please note the driveway is steep when you first turn in, levelling off in front of garage area.


We are located in rural Ballafayle, a small hamlet near Maughold Village in the north of the Island within 10 minutes drive/ride of Ramsey. Bronwyn overlooks Maughold Head and Port Mooar, with panoramic views across to the Lake District and Scotland. The Raad Ny Foillan coastal path runs very close by, as does the Manx Electric Railway, with a request stop at Rome's Crossing, which is less than 1 minute's walk from Bronwyn. There is also a regular bus service from the top pf the lane into Ramsey bus station. The mountain section of the TT/MGP course is easily accessible from Bronwyn, including the world famous landmarks of Ramsey Hairpin, Parliament Square and Gooseneck. Ballaglass Glen, one of the Manx National Glens, is within 30 minutes easy walk of Bronwyn. Shops, restaurants, pubs and other services are all available in nearby Ramsey.
